Adolescents gain about 20% of adult height and 50% of their body weight between the ages of 13 to 20….and because during this time their bodies are still growing... they consume or burn calories at a much high rate then a middle age or elderly person. Adolescents may therefore eat nearly twice the daily calories of an adult without becoming overweight.
It is believed that a daily diet menu of 1,000-1,200 calories will safely help most women to lose weight. While generally speaking, a diet menu consisting of a maximum of 1800 calories a day will cause weight lose in most men.
